A hometown club built around classic cars, community, and good company.

The Mulvane Marauders Car Club was originally founded in 1958 by a group of kids who thought it would be "cool" to start a real car club. It began with about a dozen members, some of whom did not even own a car, and a small shop in downtown Mulvane, Kansas. The club only lasted a few years before shutting down.

In June 1999, a handful of local friends decided it would be "cool" to have a car club again, only this time to do it right with a logo, T-shirts, and jackets. After contacting more local car enthusiasts, the Mulvane Marauders were resurrected. Since then, the club has continued to grow with members (111) from all around the area, including four of the original members and one of the original jackets.

The Marauders meet on the third Thursday of each month at the Mulvane American Legion. In the off-season, the first Saturday of each month includes a breakfast run at different surrounding restaurants. The club also has an official newsletter in printed, e-mail, and website form.

Each year, we host the Showdown In The Valley car show in Mulvane, bringing together hundreds of cars, bikes, and special-interest vehicles. The event supports the city of Mulvane beautification program and several area charities. Past beneficiaries have included The Boys & Girls Club, Toys for Tots, Kansas Food Bank, Wichita Children's Home, Honor Flights for Veterans, and many others.

Our club focuses on family-oriented, community, and charitable events. During the show season, activities are scheduled for most weekends, from Friday and Saturday night cruises to weekend car shows. Members often tour to out-of-town events together, meeting up and cruising as a group. Membership spans teenagers to retirees and everything from original restorations to hot rods, customs, muscle cars, pickups, and more.

Membership is $25 per year, or $15 for members under 21, payable in June and prorated throughout the year. We also offer a variety of club gear including jackets, T-shirts, hats, and aluminum license plates with our logo.
