MULVANE MARAUDERS JANUARY 2015 "Happy New Year" ~THERE WAS "NO" JANUARY CLUB MEETING DUE TO THE STARBIRD-DEVLIN SHOW.
~WE WILL MEET AGAIN ON FEBRUARY 19, 2015 AT THE MULVANE SADDLE CLUB. ~The Starbird-DevlinShow 2015 is now history - and it was a great show and we all had a good time. Thank you to those who participated and I hope those who did not will consider joinging us for the 2016 Show. I will begin reminding you as early as October, but please know you need to get your application AND your entry fee in early if you want a space and go in with the club. The show was a sell out this year and they did have to turn away cars. Just a heads up - put that on your calendar now so you don't forget. ~The Marauders took the 3rd place club award and it was great to be able to accept that on behalf of the club. ~Special thank you to Scott Hansen for picking up the stanchions and everything else we need for the show and hauling them to Century II AND for painting them. They have needed it and I truly appreciate Scott's willingness to take care of all that for us. THANK YOU SCOTT!!!! ~Check out who won awards under the WINNERS CIRCLE. ~We will start discussing Showdown in the Valley 2015 at the next meeting. Again - this is our only fundraiser that provides money for us to help others in our community. Please be thinking about this show and how you can step up and help this year!! It will take all of us to do the show. NEW BUSINESS & MEMBER DISCUSSION:
WE STILL NEED SOME HELP WITH THIS PROJECT - PLEASE CONSIDER BEING THE CHAIR OR CO-CHAIR OF THIS MONEY MAKING PROJECT FOR THE CLUB. ~CALENDAR FOR 2016 -- Kevin once again discussed having another calendar like we did a couple of years ago. This was a great money maker for the club and members seem generally in favor of it again. Great fun to see members cars on this calendar. Some additional details were discussed including the idea of selling ads for the calendar which would offset the expense of creating the calendar. We still need a chairman or a couple of folks to co-chair this project. If you would be willing to volunteer and help the club with this please contact Kevin or one of the officers. Remember, we aren't throwing you to the wolves and not willing to help, we just need someone to step up and at least be the center of this project and get it organized. Kevin had previously asked for a chairman to head up this endeavor. As of this meeting there were no volunteers. We are waiting for your call....................... Thank you!! ~Next big show for the "cold" months will be The Park City Chill!!! ~Be sure and check the club events section of the website for upcoming events. No monthly breakfast gatherings at this time. If you have ideas about this monthly event and/or would be willing to plan this event, please let us hear from you!!!!Would be a fun fall and winter activity. Member News
*Please continue to keep Jack Marinelli in your thoughts as he is still recovering from a broken ankle and surgery. He gets a bit lonely - so light up that phone for him and give him a call!!!!*Bruce Moran's dad passed away on Saturday, 1/17/15 - please keep Bruce, Claudette and the family in your thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time. *Mel Boling's mom passed away on Monday, 1/19/15. Please keep the Boling family in your thoughts and prayers as they deal with their family loss. ***It's important that we share with one another in our joys, successes and wins – but also those times of illness and loss. If any club member is ill or has had a family crisis, let Cheryl know at 685-6590 so a card can be sent from the club. Winners Circle

You are now able to manage your own profile on the Marauders new website. If you are having issues with that, please contact Kasey McDowell and he will be glad to walk you through the new process. You can keep up with your own specifics and add/delete cars and pictures. No reason to miss any notices, alerts or newsletters now!(If you have an event you would like to have listed on the Events Page of the website, please contact Cheryl.) ON THE LIGHT SIDE  *A young ventriloquist is touring Sweden & puts on a show in a small fishing town.
IF YOU HAVE A “CAR JOKE” (or any joke) YOU WOULD LIKE TO SHARE WITH THE CLUB, PLEASE SEND IT TO CHERYL! **Remember, it has to be ‘printable’!!!With his dummy on his knee, he starts going through his usual dumb blonde jokes. Suddenly, a blonde woman in the fourth row stand on her chair and starts shouting, "I've heard enough of your stupid blonde jokes. What makes you think you can stereotype Swedish blonde women that way? What does the color of a woman's hair have to do with worth as a human being?" "It's men like you who keep women like me from being respected at work and in the community, and from reaching our full potential as people. It's people like you that make others think that all blondes are dumb!! You and your kind continue to perpetuate discriminaton against not only blondes, but women in general, pathetically all in the name of humor!!" The embarassed ventriloquest begins to apolgize, and the blonde then yells, "You stay out of this!! I'm talking to that little jerk on your lap!!" ***You had to see where this was going...................................HA NEXT MEETING IS THURSDAY-- 2/19/15 - - 7:00PM at the Mulvane Saddle Club.
