-Club meeting February 18, here is what was discussed:

    • Starbird Show, everyone had a good time, club took third place.
    • Treasurer report
    • Club member Larry Heibert has stage 4 throat cancer; club has sent a card, he is at home if anyone wants to call or go by and see him.
    • Club member Chris Carlson asked the club for permission to start a youth chapter, the club overwhelmingly agreed, more to come on this after Chris gets it up and running, let’s all try and support this effort!!!!
    • Carl Fry discussed the ARC show coming in May at Cowtown, club will put out a jar at Showdown for donations, we will sponsor sending kids for $155.
    • Chris Carlson discussed his open house/car show on May 1 at Chaotic Customs, family event and it has the Marauders two favorite words “FREE FOOD”.
    • Max Ayers said that Autozone wants to have another evening get together, looks like it might be April 17, it also has the Marauders two favorite words “FREE FOOD”.
    • Showdown in the Valley #12, this was discussed most of the meeting, team captains were established:
      • Parking Captains: Carl & John Fry
      • Registration Captain: Southern Chapter
      • Merchandise Captains: Scott Gimple & Jimmy Parker
      • Burn Out Captains: Don Heersche & Steve Dale
        • We opened park up for more Vendors, $50 a spot, must contact Steve Nichols.
        • Showdown Flyers are ready and were given out
        • Marv will provide the music again
        • Chris & Karma Carlson will do the youth & adult games again
        • We will have 2 work days to make trophies (see below for more info)
        • The captains will need volunteers, especially for the gates, so give one of the captains a call and sign up to help, this is our only show and we need to make it the best!!!!!!!!!!
-SHOWDOWN WORK DAY(S), the first work day to begin making trophies is set for March 14, starting at 1:00 at Chaotic Customs, same as last year. Lots of ideas were discussed at the meeting; please bring car parts and one gallon or smaller cans, there were some good ideas on how to use them. If you want to start making some trophies now and bring them that would be great. The second work day if necessary will by April 18, same time & place.

-Check out the web page for upcoming events, if we have missed any let us know and we will get it added to the calendar. Big thanks to Cheryl for getting these events on the web page.

-Please check the member’s webpage to see if the information listed, cars, years, etc. is correct, if not, let us know.

-If you would like different colors or style of clothing than the Marauders black & white, go by Shirts Plus in Derby, 703 N. Buckner, 788-1550 and see Kevin or one of his helpers and order what you want with the Marauders Logo on it. It will be your responsibility to pay and pick it up. Just ask Kevin for a catalog and pick out what you want.

-NOTE—please let us know when your email address has changed.

-Club gear, to order, get a hold of Steve Nichols @ 777-0480.

-Remember if any club member is ill or has had a family crisis; let Cheryl Boyes know at 685-6590, so that a card or flowers can be sent from the club.

-Don’t forget you can post “For Sale” items on the web page. If you have and comments be sure to use the guest page.

-PICTURES, if you have a picture of your car(s), go the Members page and mail them to our Web master, kaseymac@hotmail.com. It’s best if pictures are between 100 and 120 KB and cropped, but if you can’t edit them, don’t worry about it. Let's try and get everyone's car on the web page. If you have a digital camera, take a picture of a member’s car and send it to the Web master.

I try to put the newsletter together Sunday & Monday to get it out by Tuesday, if you have the results of any show or I have missed something, please try and get it to me no later than Monday a.m.
