The show will be around 12:00 noon and they would like the cars to drive in the local parade at 1:00 to 1:30. The cars will have a nice place to park in the shade at Nappawalla park after the parade. There will be large plaques (trophies), dash plaques and no entry fee for this event. Outside judges for the show. This is the towns (Watermelon Feed) annual event. So lots of things to do and see. Motorcycles are also invited. This was a concern at our last show. Please pass this around. Prizes and good eats are also in the park. So come and enjoy!!! Registration will be at the beginning of the parade at 12:00.

The 27th Annual Guthrie Oklahoma Road Celebration Open Car Show will be held Saturday, September 18th, 2010, in Guthrie’s Beautiful and shady Mineral Wells Park. The park is located just South of downtown Guthrie on Division Street. Registration is from 8:00 – 12:00 the day of the show; presentation of trophies no later than 3:00.
Preregistration is $15.00 if postmarked on or before September 1st. Registration is $20 after Sept. 1st. There will be FREE coffee and donuts for the early birds; music, entertainment, over $500 in cash prizes; 50/50 pot, goody bags, door prizes, food, drink, crafts and food vendors. Five ball judging. Special trophies awarded for special vehicles.

Our family is going to Skoop's Sock Hop and Car Show in Hesston on Sunday, Sept 19. Would love to cruise up with a group of Marauders! The show is from 11:00 - 4:00 and there is no entry fee. For every car that enters, Skoops will give you one free meal. Every 1/2 hr they will be drawing for a $50 cash giveaway. I spoke with Ken from Skoops this morning, he is predicting there will be 200 cars. There will be three city blocks closed off for the entrants. Club member, Marvin Ranich will be the DJ.
If you want to cruise with us, we will be leaving Derby Wal-Mart at 10:30 that morning. If anyone from north Wichita wants to meet us on the way at KS Coliseum we will be leaving there at 11:00.
Wear your poodle skirts and your best 1950s attire!! Prizes will be given for costumes!

Oct 7th is the Sixth Grade Centers Health Fair in Derby. The address is 715 E Madison. The time is from 9:30-3:00. Students will be going through different "healthy activities" that we are trying to encourage them to get out and do besides sitting on the couch and eating while watching tv or playing video games. The few cars we have had the last couple of years have been very well received by students and I would like to have a better showing this year. That being said, I know that it is a work day and that will be an issue. If you are retired, or can take the day to be here, we would so appreciate it! Lunch is provided for volunteers. I know that some of the local companies around town allow for leave for volunteer work, if you company has that as an option, this would be a perfect use of it! If you can only be here for the morning or for the afternoon, we can work with that as well! You can contact me, Lareina Saindon, or the coordinators for more information.
